URGENT: WITHOUT YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT WE CANNOT CONTINUE
Since early 2023, dedicated working groups across TKUP have been working tirelessly to challenge a flawed and poorly conceived project that threatens our communities, businesses, and landscapes. Through careful research and strategic engagement, we have made significant progress—raising serious concerns at the highest levels of government and within SSEN.
Our well-reasoned and professional objections have been so compelling that efforts are now underway within the Scottish Government to bypass democratic processes, deny a public inquiry, and push this project forward without proper oversight or scrutiny.
You may ask: How can we stand against such powerful forces?
The answer is clear: We have a better chance of success—if we act now.
We now need to engage professional expertise. The longer we can delay the progress of this infrastructure project, the stronger our position becomes. However, to continue this fight effectively, we urgently need to raise £10,000 to secure the expertise of a Planning Consultant and a Landscape Architect—specialists who will be instrumental in strengthening our case.
A portion of our existing funds have already been used to employ professional expertise to challenge the substation. However, we need additional funds to contest the OHL part of the application.
Time is of the essence. The OHL application could be submitted as early as April, and we must have our consultants in place before then.
If just 400 people donated £25 each, we would reach our goal and enter the next phase of this campaign with the professional support we need.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us closer to protecting our land, our homes, and our future.
Together, we can hold decision-makers accountable and ensure that our voices are heard.
